Testimonial - Foot injury (runner)

The following testimonial has been voluntarily supplied and reproduced in full.

T.J., October 2011

In September 2009, I hurt my left foot while running. This was the latest in a series of running injuries that I had sustained over the years. Although I was patient and rested the foot for months, my injury did not improve. I had not been able to exercise at all (walking included) for over a year and a half when a friend suggested I see an acupuncturist.

Although not a fan of needles, I was getting desperate as I really missed my exercise routine and was becoming quite discouraged, thinking I might never be able to go to the gym again. I easily booked an initial appointment with the Hares Clinic.

Alison and Garry were welcoming and very understanding of my exercise goals and desires. They were thorough and wanted to know my entire exercise and injury history.

Garry started working on my legs at once and within a few weeks, I was able to slowly start to exercise again. It has only been 5 months since I went to my first appointment at the Hares Clinic and I am running and going to the gym again, slowly building up miles and time.

This experience has been life-changing. My discouragement is gone and I am hopeful I will be able to maintain my exercise routine for years to come!
